Executive Director/Founder

Neda Rezapoor is a Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and Founder of Thrive and Shine: Speech Language Pathology Services.  She has earned her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Communicative Disorders and Master of Science (M.S.) in Speech-Language Pathology from California State University Northridge (CSUN). She holds a Certificate in Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), a Speech-Language Pathology California state license, and a teaching credential. She is a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA), California and Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CSHA), Autism Society of America, and American Academy of Private Practice in Speech Pathology and Audiology (AAPPSPA).

Neda gained her experience through Early Intervention Program, General Clinic (aged 4-18-years-old), Aphasia Clinic and Fluency Clinic at CSUN. She completed her internship at Melvine Elementary School in Los Angeles Unified School District, and completed her externship at Holy Cross Providence Hospital. She devoted time to observe The UCLA Craniofacial Clinic in order to gain more experience. She also dedicated her time as a volunteer through Experiential Learning International where she volunteered for orphanage children as well as disabled children in a special-needs school in Quito, Ecuador and surrounding cities/villages.

 

Neda has carried out various professional development in-services for teachers, staff and family members on various topics related to communication deficits.  She has extended training working with children with autism, and intellectual disabilities. She is experienced working with adults with cognitive deficits, voice, dysphagia, and aphasia among many more acquired speech and language deficits.

She continues to expand her knowledge by attending various continuing education services in order to gain the best skills to serve each individual with communication needs. Neda strongly believes that every person is unique with special needs and each therapy session should be individualized to meet those needs of client and family/caregivers.
