Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - SLPA
Thrive & Shine Speech Therapy is hiring for a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant with a passion for applying his/her knowledge to serving each speech patient, and their families with customized therapy plans and compassionate care.
Responsibilities— Speech Language Pathologist (SLPA):

Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty

Apply knowledge in speech therapy to detect speech problems by having a patient complete basic reading and vocalizing tasks
-
Identify speech therapy options, and create / carry out an individualized treatment plan
-
Teach speech patients how to make sounds and improve their voice
-
Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
-
Work with speech patients to improve their ability to read and write correctly
-
Work with speech patients to develop and strengthen the muscles used to swallow
-
Counsel speech patients with families on how to cope with communication disorders
Qualifications— Speech Language Pathologist (SLP):
-
Must be willing to work with both In- Clinic & In-Home clients.

Previous Speech Pathologist Assistant experience with demonstrated results
-
Pediatric & Early Intervention experience preferred

Spanish Speaking Preferred

CA License as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant
Clinical Fellowship - CF/SLP

Responsibilities— Clinical Fellowship (CF/SLP):

Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty

Identify speech therapy options, and create / carry out an individualized treatment plan

Teach speech patients how to make sounds and improve their voice
